The Bahía Velas Project is a 141 acre tract of pristine, unoccupied land boasting hills that rise to more than 400ft in a series of semicircular, “cove-like” formations. These natural amphitheaters have the beautiful Cuajiniquil Bay as their stage and the giant Santa Rosa mountains as their backdrop. The property is 20 minutes away from all essential ammenities found in town of La Cruz, and about 70 minutes from Liberia's International Airport.

One of the attributes which makes Bahía Velas very unique is the adjacent Puerto Manzanillo. Despite the name, this tiny “port” is actually a picturesque beach where local villagers anchor their “pangas” or small fishing boats. Late in the morning the boats come back in and unload their catch into containers filled with ice, which are then taken to different markets and hotels. You can score delicious, ultra-fresh fish, with little funding and private work, Puerto Manzanillo could become a very attractive lure for a growing number of local residents and tourists.
